Dear Editor,

We had a wonderful experience at the General Hospital of Kefalonia and wanted to submit this letter of thanks to the staff. You are welcome to publish it (also, please feel free to translate it into Greek):
My family has been visiting Kefalonia for as long as I can remember. We are Greek American, and travel to the island at least once a year to see relatives and enjoy Kefalonia’s beautiful landscape. I have many great memories from the island. Luckily, no one in my family has ever needed to go the hospital while visiting the island—until recently.

On a recent trip to Argostoli, my father fell and hit his head. This was the first time anyone in my family had experienced the island’s healthcare system, and we were very impressed with the excellent service and care. The General Hospital of Kefalonia (Γενικό Νοσοκομείο Κεφαλονιάς) were very thorough. The wonderful nurses tested, scanned, and treated my father with expertise and professionalism. All of the staff were kind, understanding, and courteous. The experience was far nicer and more pleasant than past experiences going to the ER in New York. The hospital exceeded expectations and we are so thankful to the wonderful team at the General Hospital of Kefalonia.
